 All medical records will be securely stored by RSRS, a physician-managed medical records facility. Patients can request a certified, searchable copy of their records directly from RSRS. 

 RSRS (Record Storage & Retrieval Services) is a physician-managed company that securely stores medical records for retired or closing practices. They comply with the regulations of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.

By law, the original medical record remains the property of the doctor and must be stored for legal purposes. RSRS manages the secure storage and transfer of these records.

 Yes, there is a fee for transferring records, as this is not covered by provincial healthcare. The fee depends on the size of your file and the work involved, but RSRS follows Ontario Medical Association guidelines to ensure affordability. 

 RSRS will work with you to ensure you have access to your records. Contact RSRS directly to discuss your options. 

 While it is not mandatory, it is strongly recommended. Your medical record contains your health history and is important for your continued care with a new doctor. 

If you are planning to see a new doctor immediately, you should contact RSRS to obtain a copy of your medical records for your new provider. 

 Due to the volume of records and the complexity of transferring them securely, the clinic has contracted RSRS to manage this process. 

  In the absence of a doctor, please proceed to your nearest emergency room for urgent medical needs.
